Last month, rumors started swirling that a new Britney Spears record was on the way. As she celebrated her 29th birthday today (Dec. 2), the pop star confirmed the news that her seventh album is nearing completion and will be released in March 2011. Yay!

Kanye West’s new album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” debuted at #1 this week, so it’s no surprise ‘Ye is also keeping it hot on the Ultimate Chart. West’s “All of the Lights” is by far the greatest gainer, jumping 121 spots to #44.

Those TSA body scanners are no joke! As Kurtis Blow made his way through LAX this morning (Dec. 2), the pioneering rapper was busted for marijuana possession. Thanks to the screening, Blow was found with what law enforcement officials called “an anomaly” in his pants pocket.

Hold on to your waffles, Kid Rock is in a fury! The rocker took to his website to air frustrations with scalpers and all secondary ticketing websites. Rock says “I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair.”

Happy birthday to Britney Spears! The pop star turns 29 today. Spears kept the web afire this week after a story in Star magazine suggested boyfriend Jason Trawick had physically abused her. Brit’s reps say the story is “completely and utterly false.”

The 2011 Grammy award nominations were announced this evening during the Recording Academy’s annual nominations concert. Not surprisingly, hip-hop superstar Eminem leads the race with ten nods, while Bruno Mars follows with seven, and Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, and Lady Antebellum earned six apiece.

PJ Harvey released new song “Written on the Forehead” online today (Dec. 1). The track is from the British singer’s forthcoming album, “Let England Shake,” scheduled for release Feb. 14. Give it a listen here.

Looks like weed isn’t just for Willie. AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd reportedly pled guilty to marijuana possession today (Dec. 1) in a New Zealand court. Rudd was busted with 25 grams of marijuana on his boat in Bridge Marina in October.
