About The Comet

We love music. But we found there was too much noise on the web—like walking into a megastore with too many choices, so you choose nothing. We also found that some sites are just too niche and snooty for us—we don’t want to be ‘cool,’ we just want to discover music that’s actually good—in any genre. So, we sat down as a team and came up with a lofty goal: To create a world where music is easily discovered and you can connect with like-minded people through lifestyle and culture.

The Comet was born—a social platform and a partner for artists and tastemakers to reach audiences and the best source of music, lifestyle and cultural content for people.

What makes us different? Voice. Consider us your favorite DJ or your best iPod mix—giving you quality over quantity. We are a multi-author, curated community of contributors in every scene, location, genre, and function, breaking out of niches and focusing purely on compelling music and stories.
