Blue October’s Justin Furstenfeld Launches Divorce Support Website
photo

Blue October’s front man Justin Furstenfeld has launched AnyManInAmerica.com – a website where fathers, mothers and children who have dealt, or are dealing with, the issues surrounding divorce can speak their mind.

The website is named after Blue October’s most recent album, “Any Man In America,” which Justin told The Comet is a letter to his daughter, and details the hardest period of his life – loosing his rights as a father, a bitter divorce, and the longing for his little girl to know the truth.

AnyManInAmerica.com allows anyone to upload a photo or a message they wish to send to a loved one, via LiveShare which streams the photos and allows members to interact and comment.

Justin was inspired to launch the site while filming the very personal video to “The Feel Again (Stay).” Take a look:

In addition, Blue October will be bringing representatives from the American Coalition of Fathers and Children on the road with them to educate fans during their current Any Man In America tour.

I adore this Man!  His messages have always been well intended in his lyrics.  I have followed & loved every one since the inception.  His truth about psychological, and emotion states continue to inspire me.  I have been involved in many situations of divorce, mentored many children, and have come from severe divorce dysfunction.  Justin…..You are crazy amazing!!!  Way to spread to wealth in a world that needs it desperately!

Justin has written every chapter of my 37 years on this planet & this album reaches corners of my soul that I didn’t know were there . Seeing them perform on this latest tour in Denver Colorado was such an emotional experience I left in awe, humbled and educated , Thank you Justin for sharing your life with us !

Hey Justin, l was born and raised in Houston Texas as were all 10 of my children,5 with my best friend since I was ten yrs old myself and then we divorced and we remained a extended family for several yrs even with me being remarried. April 10th 2010 I lost my 22month old youngest twin boy to a drowning, I am still reeling from this with all kinds of thoughts and attempts at suicide..my ex and father five of my kids decides he is gay and we somehow don’t fit in his life anymore. It is so hurtful because of the outrageous things he is doing and doing with some people that are not fit to be around the kids he has announced he is done and this divorce is final! I read something the other day I thought you and everyone could use,its a book called Living with screwed up people “A screwed up person(my ex) doesn’t merely bug us- he wounds us,pulling out chunck of our heart. His poison darts dig deeper as the relationship skews. They don’t hear or see our needs or rarely meets them. And sometimes you/we want to help someone change who is quite content with who he or she is. Move on! Don’t harden your heart if feelings aren’t mutual, but do free yourself from trying to earn the caring that should be a gift. I seen a sign at a show of Blue Octobers not long after I lost Keegan Dade Coggon(his name can be googled he has a in memory of site) and that posterboard stuck with me..“I’m learning to live again through love and loss” thanks Justin for being you and my heart goes out to you with all you have been though,I’m trying still to find my way outta the darkness.
