David Lynch Releases Solo Debut ‘Crazy Clown Time’
photo

Iconic filmmaker David Lynch has released his full length solo debut album “Crazy Clown Time” on Sunday Best Recordings.

Although he calls himself a “self-taught, non-musician,” it is clear from his films that David Lynch is a meticulous, master of sound. His latest venture, his debut solo album, “Crazy Clown Time,” was entirely produced and written by Lynch. All fourteen tracks showcase what he calls his version of “modern blues” through his “love of experimenting with sound and music.”

The album features collaborations from Lynch’s long-time musical collaborators, including film composer Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive), Polish pianist Marek Zebrowski (Inland Empire), indie-rock band Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse (Dark Night of the Soul).

The result is not only daring, but beautifully hypnotic. From the cinematic opening track, “Pinky’s Dream” featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, fans and first time listeners will be immediately drawn into David Lynch’s mystifying ways. Listen to “Pinky’s Dream” here.

“Crazy Clown Time” track list is as follows;
1. Pinky’s Dream
2. Good Day Today
3. So Glad
4. Noah’s Ark
5. Football Game

7. Strange And Unproductive Thinking
