Legendary vocalist Etta James will release her final album “The Dreamer,” through Verve Forecast on October 25, before officially retiring from a fifty-year recording career.
The album, which marks the “At Last” singer’s first in five years, will feature renditions of some of the most beloved R&B tunes, including Otis Redding’s “Cigaretttes and Coffee,” Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Dreamer” and Ray Charles’ “In The Evening.” The seventy-three year old singer even tackles Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle.”
