When you’re always on the road like American Bang, there’s bound to be some time to kill. In this tour diary, Neil and the Bang Boys make their way from Texas to Tennessee, while betting on Monday Night Football and developing an unhealthy NETFLIX addiction.

Greeting The Comet readers!  Neil here from American Bang.

We enjoyed our first day off after five shows in a row earlier this week! We had a nice little run through Texas, hitting Houston, Dallas and Austin, and then Arkansas.

The week started with celebrating Kelby’s (our bass player) birthday, which included grilling out steaks, drinking some beers and watching the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football!

We’ve been doing a Football Pool every Sunday on the road and betting on all the games. We each put in $5 and whoever guesses the winner the most games gets $30.

So far this season, Ben has won twice, I’ve won once and Trevor, our tour manager, has won once. Kelby and Jaren aren’t too happy about it! Haha. 

We’ve all also developed an unhealthy addiction to our iPhone NETFLIX app.

You can stream TV shows and movies on there while bouncing down the road in the van. We all seem to be pretty hooked on “The Office,” “Dexter” and “Weeds.” 

Needless to say, there’s a lot of spare time to fill while we are in the van!

We hit Memphis last night and New Orleans tonight. We’re stoked to party on both Beale Streets!!! 

Gonna get our party on and head to back home for a couple days to hang with some friends and family.
