Guitar Hero is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The app takes full advantage of Apple features such as touch screen controls, social network integration, gamers can publish their high scores to friends on Facebook and to the in-game leader board, and the ability to download exclusive new tracks from an in-game music store.

The Guitar Hero base app, priced at $2.99, will feature tracks from Queen, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Weezer, Rise Against, and Vampire Weekend. Six additional song packs will be available for purchase through the Guitar Hero app for $1.99 each.

Now that Guitar Hero has become portable, the possibilities of living out your rock and roll fantasy are unlimited.
