The songwriter, once a member of the duo Luke & Q, recently performed alongside Robin Thicke at New York City’s Highline Ballroom on Dec. 9. During his show, the Def Jam signee, who also inked a deal with producer Danja’s New Age Rock Stars imprint, fire alarms and sprinklers were activated prompting the FDNY to make an appearance. No harm was done but its apparent James is kicking up the heat as he makes a name for himself on the R&B scene.
