The Comet’s very own Idolholic, an industry insider who chooses to remain anonymous, offers us analysis and insight into latest X Factor results show. Who goes to the finale? It is as The Idolholic predicted.
For the first time in several weeks, there were no surprises on the X Factor Results Show.
We learn first that Chris Rene will take a place in the finale. Whether it means anything or not, Chris has been the first safe contestant mentioned the past few weeks. Simon even noted last night that he could be the dark horse in the final showdown.
Thankfully, we next find out that it will not be an all-guy fight to the finish, as Melanie Amaro gets the good news that viewers have seen to it that she will sing another day on the show…and it will be the biggest day ever for her burgeoning music career.
So, we are left with Marcus Canty and Josh Krajcik as we head into the last commercial break of the night. Is there any doubt that Marcus will be the one to go home. Of course there is some doubt. But, happily, we find out that Josh has made it through and the battle for the $5 million recording contract and the Pepsi commercial to air during the Super Bowl will be between Chris, Melanie and Josh.
I really don’t think there’s a sure thing here, so we’ll have to wait and see how the future of these three talented young people unfolds when they take to the stage next Wednesday.
