Vevo has announced a free app for the iPhone and iPod touch, allowing users to watch and share music videos via email, Twitter and Facebook, create playlists and watch exclusive video premieres.

The app provides access to Vevo’s entire catalog, featuring over 20,000 videos and employs a GPS feature which enables you to view videos being watched around your location.

Vevo is also launching an Ask: Reply! series, featuring artists like Ke$ha, Ciara, Maroon 5 and Mike Posner answering questions from fans submitted through Vevo on Twitter and Facebook.

The app can be downloaded for free at the iTunes store; the company is currently working on an app for the iPad, Android and other mobile platforms.
