Guns N’ Roses showed up well over an hour late at Dublin’s O2 Arena last night (Sept. 1) and the crowd wasn’t having it. The group was greeted with boos and bottles, and after about twenty minutes into their set, the band walked off. Sounds like a GNR concert! And, of course, it’s all captured on video.

Ben Sollee has gotten rid of his touring van, literally. The alternative/folk musician has launched a “Ditch the Van Bike Tour” presented by Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe. He’s carrying his own gear on a bicycle and performing “sustainable, community oriented events.” Check out the video:

Eddie Vedder and Dixie Chick Natalie Maines are joining forces to support the West Memphis Three at a protest event this Saturday (Aug. 28) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Vedder and Maines will perform acoustic sets at the Voices for Justice rally for Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, convicted of murdering three eight-year-old boys in West Memphis in 1994.

Five activists from Amnesty International, who were handing out leaflets to the audience, were detained by Moscow police last night (Aug. 25) before U2’s first-ever concert in Russia. A police spokesperson said they were without the necessary authorization; the head of the rights group’s Moscow office said U2 management had assured them before the concert that all necessary permits were in place. The activists were released within hours.

The rockers will celebrate their birthday milestone this October with a performance at Neil Young’s annual charity concert benefiting the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical disabilities.

Ozzy Osbourne premiered the music video for “Life Won’t Wait,” the second single from latest album “Scream.” The video, directed by Osbourne’s son Jack and featuring a cameo by daughter Kelly, was shot around Los Angeles including an Altadena cemetery. The plot draws from Ozzy’s own life but with a twist.
3 Doors Down will head to their home state of Mississippi for the seventh annual Better Life Foundation event, benefiting various children’s charities. Theory of a Deadman and Saving Abel are also scheduled to perform during the foundation’s concert taking place Nov. 13.
