George Michael, who crashed his car into London photo shop Snappy Snaps in July, has pled guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis. A judge reportedly suspended Michaels’ license for six months and warned that the pop star could face jail time.

Norah Jones has tapped some big talent for next album, “…Featuring,” out Nov. 2 through EMI Blue Note. The record includes a mix of duets with such artists as Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, OutKast and the Foo Fighters. That’s a whole lotta star-studded collaboration.

Paramount Pictures has tapped “Step Up 3D” director Jon Chu for its feature film on the life of Justin Bieber after Davis Guggenheim dropped out. Cameras will follow the Beibs for behind-the-scenes footage from his concerts, culminating in the Aug. 31 performance at Madison Square Garden to be shot in 3D.
Following an attack on frontman Deryck Whibley last week in Japan, Sum 41 has been forced to cancel a string of Vans Warped dates. In a post on their blog, the band says it was a “tough decision,” but they wouldn’t have been able to “deliver their signature high energy show” due to Whibley’s slipped disk.
George Michael’s Grammy-winning debut solo album “Faith” is getting remastered and reissued in several formats this fall, including a limited edition box set. “Faith,” originally released in 1987, includes some of Michael’s greatest hits such as “I Want Your Sex,” Faith” and “Father Figure.”
It looks like J-Lo may not join next season’s “American Idol” after all. Lopez had been closing a deal with Fox but “her demands got out of hand,” said a source to People. “Fox had just had enough.” That leaves the door wide open for the network to enlist J-Woww for the judges panel.
